We accept children ages 4 to 6 for this program. Ideally, your child has experienced a preschool setting in the year prior to joining camp. Children must be toilet-trained and prepared to follow simple prompts from our staff like stopping their bodies when asked, and remaining seats for short periods of time.

Children are invited to explore our forest classroom nestled in the woods in Harpswell Center. Our structures and play spaces encourage open-ended play as well as room for circle time, art, snack, lunch or quite time all in support of the needs of our young explorers.

To best experience Maine’s coastal forest in the summer, please send your child with: sunscreen, hat, multiple layers, or rain coat or boots depending on the weather for our day of outdoor exploration. We do spend the rare day (or part of a day) indoors when extreme heat, rain, or thunder and lightening threaten the skies.

The 2026 summer program runs:

Monday through Friday from 9am to 1pm

Each day follows the same rhythm to our routines and each week brings a different nature theme to explore. Families can sign up for a single week (or multiple weeks as space allows).

We ask families to send a water bottle, nutritious snack and lunch, and a full change of clothing for their camper.
